Viettel becomes official member of Qorus Mobile Alliance
Accessing into Qorus helps strengthen the collaboration relationship between Viettel and Telecommunication firms; share and gain business experiences… from leading operations in the area and around the world.
As an official member, Viettel can join in negotiation activities; bidding process of Telecommunication service etc. with multinational companies in any Qorus’s member countries, which strengthens Viettel’s coverage and network.
Moreover, this chance brings along many opportunities to reach international-quality services standard, such as: International Inbound Voice with incentive price, International Top-Up, money transfers, special Data roaming package… especially for 400 million customers in Qorus Mobile Alliance can use special Data package while roaming overseas.
“Joining in Qorus Mobile Alliance will bring lots of benefit to Vietnamese people. The economy of Qorus’s member countries is very dynamic and developed and there are many Vietnamese people living and working there”, stated Viettel’s Deputy General Director, Mr. Le Dang Dung.
Viettel has officially acceded into Qorus Mobile Alliance since 25th May 2015.
Qorus Mobile Alliance: The predecessor is AMI – The first Asian Mobile Alliance, which was formed in 23rd April 2004, its first headquarter is located in Bangkok – Thailand. 06/2014, AMI reorganized and introduced Qorus, located in Malaysia, included 10 members/ countries: Smartone (HongKong – China), Smartone (Ma Cau – China), Celcom (Malaysia), Idea (India), M1 (Singapore), XL (Indonesia), Smart (Cambodia), Sun (Philippines), Dialog (Sri Lanka) and Robi (Bangladesh).The functions of Qorus are: Strengthen the group activities, the coverage and service quality of members’ network via Roaming.

Viettel is the biggest Telecommunication Provider in Vietnam in both market shares and telecom infrastructure aspects. Viettel is also the first operator investing overseas. They have invested in 10 countries with a population of 175 millionin the world.
