The Mobile World Congress is one of the world's leading conferences on telecommunications and ICT sector organized annually by the GSMA association - the organization consisting of 800 operators, 250 companies providing network solutions. This popular event was first held in 1987, and over the years has attracted the participation of a large number of operators, mobile service providers, telecommunications, IT ... from everywhere around the world. It is known as the event that none of enterprises in the field would want to miss.

In 2015, Viettel has participated as the first telecommunication enterprise of Vietnam's to have an exhibition booth to introduce products engineered by Vietnam. Viettel's booth, or VTCore’s to be specific, attracted the attention of nearly 3,000 visitors respectively. Also during the event, Mr. Tong Viet Trung, the Deputy General Director of Viettel stated: "This year, Viettel’s booth attracted many international visitors, because they were used to seeing our domestic businesses came to look for telecommunications products to purchase, but this is the first time a representative of Vietnam come to the exhibition to do a showcase and sell telecommunication products made by Vietnam."

The Mobile World Congress 2016 will take place on February 22th – 25th in Barcelona, Spain under the theme "Mobile is Everything". Attending the event are more than 95,000 attendants with over 2,000 exhibitors including well known brands such as Alcatel-Lucent, AT & T, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, Ford Motor Company, Google, Huawei, Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft , NEC, Nokia, Qualcomm, Samsung, SK Telecom ...

 This year, Viettel will attend the event not only to interact and learn from the world's leading network operators but also bring our IT products to the exhibition and introduce to neighbor countries and people around the world. Viettel's booth is called "Mobile in Emerging Countries" and the products to be exhibited include: DMS.One (Distribution Management System), AMI.One (Advanced Measuring Infrastructure – The system which control electricity remotely), Smas (School Management System), E-Government and BCCS (Business Customer Care System).
