Asia-Africa-Europe (AAE-1) ocean optical fiber system is 23,000 km long, connects directly 3 continents Asia – Africa – Europe. AAE-1 system uses the newest channel multiplexing technology of high intensity wavelength with capacity 100Gbps/wavelength and fully supported by all types of 10Gbps interface; 100Gbps, 10GE, 100GE. Initial total expected design capacity is 32Tbps, total investment is approximately USD 820 million and is expected to be into exploitation at the end of 2016. AAE-1 ocean optical fiber system has 21 landing points in 20 countries and territories in Asia – Africa – Europe. Especially, AAE-1 ocean optical fiber system is connected directly to PoP great center in Asia such as Singapore, Hong Kong and France in Europe and can be easily connected to other ocean optical fiber channels in Asia. At present, Viettel is possessing the capacity including IA, APG fiber channel in IDC Global Switch, Singapore.
