Viettel launches Collect Call service
On 01 Feb 2016, Viettel has officially launched the Collect Call service, which allows Viettel prepaid subscribers to make calls to friends, relatives, even when their accounts run out of money or they want to ask the others to pay for such calls. Meanwhile, the subscriber receiving the call (Subscriber B) will pay for the call fee. The calling subscriber (Subscriber A) will also not be charged for the registration and maintenance of the service. Latest calling rate will be applied compatible with the current mobile package of Calling Subscriber and be deducted from Called Subscriber. This service is applied to the calls within Viettel.
This is a useful service and with just a few simple steps, you can experience the service:
- Step 1: To ask the subscriber B to pay for the call fee, the subscriber A compose a message with the following syntax: mobile-phone-number-of-subscriber B and send to 9107
- Step 2: After receiving the request message from A, B makes the message “Y” to 9107 to agree to pay for fees from all calls from A to B or make the message “Y1” to 9107 to agree to pay for fee of a call from A to B. To refuse the request, B makes the message “N” to 9107 (Code will be sent by the system to the customer via SMS to distinguish the case in which B receives many requests from different subscribers; the code is included in the return message).
In case B agrees to pay fees of all calls from A to B, B may set the time (days) or monthly payment amount for A. To cancel the feature of paying fees for A, B will make the message HUY + mobile-phone-number-of-subscriberA to 9107
- Step 3: After B agrees to pay fees for A, to make a call to B, A shall press 1588 before the phone number of B, e.g. 1588097xxxxxxx. Then, call costs will be charged to B.
