This decision brings Viettel’s total mobile phone number prefixes to twelve (12) prefixes along with (+84) 96, 97, 98, 162, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168, 169 with over 88 million phone numbers to be served.

Viettel has officially opened sale prefix number (+84)868 from 05/3/2016. For the immediate, Viettel will provide 1 million new phone numbers with seri of numbers (+84)868xxxxxx for customer’s selection. Although the mobile order system has just operating for a few days, but according to records from the system, there are about 12,000 mobile numbers with new prefix number have been successfully ordered.

Launching new mobile prefix is very good news to Viettel in the situational context that their productivity mobile phone numbers has reached 76.7%. Hence, this event will help Viettel to guarantee the numbers storage to serve higher demand of end users in the future. Furthermore, the prefix of (+84)868 is considered as the symbol of good luck and wealth in perspective of the Eastern culture. Through 2015, Viettel has still sustainably kept its position of the leading mobile operator in Vietnam, who gains nearly 50% of market share of the total number of subscribers to be served to be 56.4 millions.
