Customers only need to use a phone that supports VoLTE/5G, with a physical 4G sim or eSim, register for the service and turn on the feature.

Viettel is the first unit in Vietnam to provide VoLTE and 5G roaming services.

Previously, on November 30, 2020, Viettel also officially launched a 5G trial business in Hanoi, making Vietnam the first country in the world to deploy this technology at that time.

As of September 2022, 36/204 countries/regions have turned off 2G, while 31/204 countries/regions have turned off 3G (of which the US has turned off both 2G and 3G waves).
