Viettel has successfully produced the 4G transceiver device
The devices produced by Viettel also has similar features of ones which today is the world’s leading manufacturers. Viettel have revealed plans to officially roll out the 4G services in Laos, Timor-Leste and 3 other provinces of Vietnam in the first –quarter while is now focusing on researching of 4G core network (EPC) and testing of Site Router Transmission equipment. It is estimated that all imported devices will be replaced by “Made by Viettel” products on 2018.
Traditionally, Viettel started to participate in the field of researching and manufacturing telecommunication equipments while there had been only 5 suppliers in the world. Our strategy is to expand business into the field of research and production with aiming to achieve at least 70% of our infrastructure will be made by Viettel by 2020. All components from the core network (VOCs, MSC, EPC, IMS), the transmission network (Site Router) to the access network (eNodeB) of Viettel shall no longer be dependent on any vendors.
Viettel has previously developed customer management systems, 3G switches PBX systems, and PBX systems combined with message filtering system to block spam messages which is the heart and brain of telecommunications network. These systems have been put into Viettel’s network operation in domestic and oversea markets. Besides the telecommunications equipment, high-tech manufacturing field has brought nearly 10,000 billion VND in revenue to Viettel and reduce the nation’s foreign currency due to import from oversea. With the Defense industry, Viettel has manufactured information machines, radars, control systems and autopilot aircrafts…
