Viettel performed a series of technology solutions marking 13 years of mobile service operation
Since official launching Mobile Service on October 15, 2004, Viettel has reached nearly 70 million customers, becoming the number one provider in Vietnam. The emergence of Viettel mobile network has created a revolution in reducing tariffs, contributing to improving service quality, customer care, and bringing the domestic telecoms market to a competitive stage for the benefit of consumers.
According to Viettel's representative, after 13 years, Viettel continues to prepare for a new revolution, to realize a new aspiration, bringing telecommunications and information technology to every corners to make intelligent life.
"The past 13 years have seen tremendous changes in the telecommunications and IT industry," said Mr. Hoang Son, Deputy General Manager of Viettel Group. “From the telephone density of 4 phones per 100 people in 2004, to now (2017) this rate is more than 130 units per 100 people, the proportion of smartphone users accounted is more than 50%. Viettel is the main force in the rapid development of the telecommunications and IT industry”.

At the same time, for the past 13 years, Viettel Group's leaders have always been concerned about how Vietnamese people can do their own research and develop their technology like other countries in the world. Therefore, Viettel has focused on intensive investment in the field of research and development, including highly qualified personnel and modern facilities. The results are very positive, many products by Viettel self-research and production has reached the international level.
About the vision in the next development, Mr. Hoang Son said, Viettel is ready with other countries to welcome industrial revolution 4.0. “The steady development and evolution of technology can make developing nations, who are slow down in this revolution, will quickly lag behind in technology. The "Viettel with Industrial Revolution 4.0" exhibition introduces Viettel's vision of bringing telecommunication and information technology products to all areas of life”, Mr. Hoang Son emphasized.
According to Hoang Son, to bring Vietnam into the flow of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 needs to join hands and the strong of the government, businesses and the people. "We trust that the 4th Industrial Revolution will be a chance for our country. That vision will surely come true if all of us are aware of the opportunities and ready for those networks right now."

This year, at Viettel Complex Building where the Exhibition takes place, Viettel is introducing to all visitors about Viettel's vision of bringing telecommunication and information technology products to every area of their lives. These include: State management, solutions to improve the performance of enterprises, utilities for users.
One of Viettel's most prominent achievements at the show is the 4G BTS (eNodeB) researched, designed and manufactured by Viettel. Viettel has also researched and mastered the majority of core network systems, including voice, text messaging, billing, and 4G networks.

Viettel also introduces many e-government software projects, such as residential database based on ID information, identity card, and civic household project. Viettel also compiles with the health sector to build health records of people and gate of national immunization.
On education, Viettel has practical projects such as the software for national exam program, the School Internet program with 40,000 school sites and educational institutions that provide free internet infrastructure.
In other fields such as agriculture, Viettel focuses on the development of smart product infrastructure such as automatic irrigation system, warning of water, soil and air quality monitoring to help increase productivity, reduce the risk of illness.

With the big cities, Viettel focuses on solving the most urgent issues such as traffic, environmental security, social order in Ho Chi Minh City. Specifically, in Hanoi is the project to turn every household into a Home BTS (Home Gateway), connected to the government, infrastructure services through the computer system, mobile. In the future, Viettel set a target of 24 million households across the country to become Home Gateway to connect not only one but also hundreds of technology equipments, household appliances.
In addition, Viettel also demonstrated more ecosystems of solutions for businesses such as electronic office system, sales management system DMS, electronic stamp and invoice system as well as other management systems to improve the efficiency of corporate governance.
