Viettel to have 25.000 4G stations in April
Mr. Hoang Son - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, said that Viettel was aggressively deploying 4G infrastructure and had now developed 16,000 4G stations. The company planned to have 25,000 4G stations in the end of 4/2017. To officially launch 4G services nationwide, Viettel is speeding up the license process, building 4G packages to submit to the Department of Telecom.

Up to now, the MIC has given four mobile networks license to provide 4G services with the 1800 MHz band. 4G has placed mobile operators in the new race for a new opportunity. Currently, operators are offering free 4G SIM exchange service for customers. But according to the direction of the MIC, the implementation of the 4G SIM is a time for operators to review subscription information more accurately.
Viettel is the only operator in Vietnam that has successfully deployed 4G in other markets in the world such as Burundi, Laos, Haiti and Peru. The telecom enterprise is expected to officially launch 4G services nationwide in the first quarter of 2017.
