Viettel improves Internet service bandwidth while remain the same price
On August 8th, 2017, in order to thank customers who have trusted and have been using the services, Viettel will complete the free bandwidth upgrading for customers across the country. This is the largest upgrading of Viettel so far, conducted on a wide scale and apply to all customers including the new roaming customers.
Accordingly, for current customers, Viettel still keep the old package but upgraded free of charge for customers to experience higher speeds Internet.
Specifically, customers who were using 10Mbps or less are upgraded to 15Mbps and customers using 10Mbps to 30Mbps have been added 5Mbps over their old rates.
In August 2017, Viettel will complete the free bandwidth upgrading for customers across the country.
For new subscribers, customers can choose among different package including Net1, Net2, Net3, Net4, Net5, and Net6 with bandwidth of 15Mbps-20Mbps-25Mbps-30Mbps-35Mbps-40Mbps respectively.
Before the nationwide deployment, starting from July 2014, Viettel has been increasing bandwidth for customers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and Dien Bien.
This bandwidth upgrade is significant in improving the quality of Internet services and applications, especially for applications required higher bandwidth such as television and video, online learning, online games ...
In addition, Viettel's bandwidth upgrading will contribute to speed up the average Internet connection of Vietnam. According to a report by Akamai, the average speed in the first quarter of 2017 in Vietnam was 9.5 Mbps, ranking in top ninth in the Asia Pacific region.
Along with the upgrading of bandwidth, Viettel also builds tools to help customers look up their information, update promotions and make payment via free applications.
Moreover, towards a secure internet environment, Viettel recently launched Safenet service to help users control access content, creating a secure Internet environment for children.
