Viettel Group join hands with Da Nang to build up a smart city
According to the agreement, Viettel Group and Da Nang City will focus on investing labor resources, deploying all cooperation plans to improve the quality of living environment, making Da Nang become a secured, friendly, safety city in the period of 2016-2020.
Vice-Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Mr. Dang Viet Dung said the agreement was a milestone in the co-operation between the city and Viettel in IT, creating a smooth path for the development of a smart city in the future.
Viettel Group, with their own ability, will support Da Nang City with planning overall architecture of a Smart city in priority sections including: transport, health care, education and training, environment, as well as energy, earthquake and tsunami warning, floods and erosion and sewage, besides lakes, dams and bridge management systems.

In the first period, Da Nang and Viettel agreed to choose Health care, Education and training for developing wholly base on integrating all previous effectives, implementing all useful application to improve the living standard of Da Nang Citizens.
As a crucial step towards building a smart city, Viettel helped Da Nang to launch the e-government system with IT applications, policies and mechanisms on IT and communications and IT manpower resources.
As known, Da Nang is ready for the introduction of 4G LTE (Long-Term Evolution) and the Internet of Things (IoT) by 2018. If success, Da Nang will be the first Smart City in Vietnam. Since then, Vietnam will continue to build other ones base on this protocol of Da Nang.
