Last month, Viettel and Vietnam Airlines have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Therefore, Viettel will provide IT-telecom products and services with the best solutions that Viettel had experience in implementation on demand of Vietnam Airlines such as fixed telephone service, mobile services, domestic and international data transmission services, conference call services; Payment solution, booking/selling airline tickets through Bank Plus of Viettel, operational management software, specialized software supporting operations of Vietnam Airlines, etc. Viettel will also provide professional services on data recovery, storage and processing of large data (Big Data), cloud computing, intelligent security camera, postal services for Vietnam Airlines.

According to this cooperation agreement, Vietnam Airlines will provide airfreight services (passenger, luggage, cargo) and other commercial services as required by Viettel. In addition, Viettel and Vietnam Airlines also signed a Minutes about the cooperation in information security, preventing the risk of losing information security, dealing with information trouble and incident for the IT systems of Vietnam Airlines in the future.

With the goal of ensuring the efficiency of investment and technology innovation, improving management and service quality, saving costs and ensuring safety and security for IT system, Vietnam Airlines always sees the cooperation with IT enterprises as important. Signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Viettel is followed by the success of the cooperation from 2013, is the step towards the realization of the priority policy and the emphasis on innovation and application of IT in the business of Vietnam Airlines.
