This time, Viettel hosted the APG meeting with a hospitality spirit and to express our high concern for events that can bring Vietnam closer to international friends worldwide. Through this event, Viettel has demonstrated a professional working attitude in the eyes of other international network operators. At the moment, most of Viettel’s international traffic depends mainly on two subsea cables: AAG and IA. With the launching of APG this October, Viettel will help to improve service quality for customers and prevent unwanted incidents.
Besides APG cable system, Viettel has successfully installed the cable landing station of AAE-1 subsea cable in Vung Tau in May 2016 and is expected to launch in early Q1/2017. The 2 new cable systems will bring Viettel closer to our target of becoming the operator with largest network infrastucture in Vietnam and contribute to the development of telecommunications network in the region.
